SCSU Women's Basketball Falls to U-Mary 73-66 in Final NSIC Regular Season Contest

Bismarck, N.D. – The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team took on the University of Mary in their final Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match-up of the season.
The Huskies, who defeated the Marauders earlier this season (70-51 on Jan. 22), fell to U-Mary with a final score of 73-66.
St. Cloud State falls to 13-13 overall and 12-10 in the conference. The University of Mary improves to 15-15 overall and 9-13 in the NSIC.
Senior forward Karissa LeCaptain (Algoma, Wis.) led the Huskies with 19 points and 11 rebounds. This marks the seventh double-double of the season for LeCaptain.
Three additional Huskies finished in double-digit scoring.
Junior guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) added 12 points. Nooker recorded a team-high seven assists.
Junior guard Betsy MacDonald (St. Paul, Minn.) went three of nine from the three point range and finished with 11 points.
Sophomore guard Andrea Thomas (Mauston, Wis.) recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Brittney Dietz led all players with 25 points for the University of Mary.
Overall, St. Cloud State shot 30% from the field and 33.3% from behind the arc, while the University of Mary shot 44.2% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range. The Huskies outrebounded the Marauders, 43-37. U-Mary led for almost the entire game recording their largest lead of the night at the 9:08 mark in the third quarter of 16 points. St. Cloud State forced 20 turnovers and committed 13.
