Mankato, Minn. – Junior Natalie Gottschalk placed fourth overall in the pentathlon at the NSIC Multi Championships on Sunday, Feb. 12.
Gottschalk ended her busy afternoon, that saw her competing in five events, with 3,544 points. Her point total was an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark and bettered her previous NCAA qualifying mark in the event from earlier this season.
Gottchalk finished eighth in the 60m hurdles (9.52), fifth in the high jump (1.58m), sixth in the shot put (9.90m), fourth in the long jump (5.54m) and won the 800m (2:22.29).
The SCSU team gets back in action and competes at the Parents' Day Open on Saturday, Feb. 18, on the campus on the University of Minnesota.
