
Huskies Set to Play Last Conference Home Series of the Year

St. Cloud State takes on No. 1 Wisconsin at home this weekend
Scouting Wisconsin: The Badgers are coming off of a couple non-conference games at home in Madison. In their last series, UW swept Syracuse December 1 and 2 in a 6-1 win and 7-1 win respectively. Before that, they swept Harvard at LaBahn Arena with final scores of 3-2 and 2-1.
Leading point scorers for Wisconsin this season are Abby Roque (6g-16a), Annie Pankowski (11g-9a), Sophie Shirley (10g-7a), and Sam Cogan (2g-13a). Goaltender Kristen Campbell has played and started 18 games this season and has a 17-1-0 record. She has a .935 SV% and holds a 1.05 GAA.
All-time Series: Wisconsin has a leading record of 74-8-2 against St. Cloud State.
Last Week: The Huskies were shutout on the road in Bemidji, Minn. this past weekend. St. Cloud lost to the Beavers 0-3 on Friday, Nov. 30 and 0-2 Saturday, Dec. 1. SCSU totaled 37 SOG in the series and the Huskies' goaltenders Janine Alder (Friday-40) and Emma Polusny (Saturday-34) made 74 saves. St. Cloud went 0-6 on the power play and 6-1 on the penalty kill.
Shot Blockers: St. Cloud State ranks second in the nation for team saves with 706 this season. Goaltenders Emma Polusny (So.) and Janine Alder (Jr.) have split most of their time on the ice this season. Polusny is 3-5-0 and Alder is 2-8-1 on the season. Of note, Polusny had a career-high 48 save game on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Special Teams: The Huskies rank fifth in the WCHA conference on the power play (11.4%) going 5 for 44 – senior forward Hannah Potrykus is the Huskies' leading power play scorer with three goals this season, which is tied for second most in the WCHA.
Skate with the Huskies: The always popular Skate with the Huskies, sponsored by Wolters Kluwer, will take place at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on Saturday, Dec. 8 after the conclusion of the men's hockey showdown between St. Cloud State and Omaha. Fans will have an opportunity to skate on the main rink at the HBNHC along with members of the men's and women's ice hockey teams from St. Cloud State University. Fans are encouraged to bring their skates to the game or rent skates from the pro shop on the night of the event. Skate with the Huskies is a great opportunity to meet your favorite SCSU players, get autographs and take photos along with skating a few laps on the rink at the HBNHC.
