
Huskies Prepare to Host Minnesota State for Conference Play

St. Cloud State women's hockey will host Minnesota State for two conference games this weekend at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Games will be played Friday, October 25 at 3:07 pm and Saturday, October 26 at 2:07 pm.
Weekend recap
The Huskies come off the weekend with two hard fought battles against No. 2 Minnesota. The Huskies dropped the first game to Minnesota 3-0 and the second game 4-1. The Huskies held off the Gophers to just 28 shots in Saturday's game, which is the lowest SOG the Gophers' have had against the Huskies in the last 14 games they have played each other (2016-17 season).
Scouting the Mavericks
The Mavericks came out of the weekend with two tie games against No. 9 Ohio State. The Buckeyes and Mavericks tied 1-1 and 3-3. Last season, the Huskies beat the Mavericks three out of the four conference games they played. The all time record for the Huskies over the Mavericks is 41-33-13.

Upcoming events
The Skate with the Huskies event will take place after the finish of the upcoming St. Cloud State men's hockey game versus Northeastern University on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Fans will have a chance to hit the ice at the HBNHC along with members of the SCSU men's and women's hockey teams that night and the event is free and open to the public. Skate with the Huskies begins immediately after the conclusion of the SCSU men's game that night and fans are encouraged to bring their skates to the game that night (or get a pair from the HBNHC pro shop).
