
Emelia Burris earns All-American honors at NCAA Championships

St. Cloud State Women's Track & Field athlete Emelia Burris placed sixth in the Long Jump and earned All-American honors at the NCAA DII Indoor National Championships Friday evening. Burris covered 5.81 meters on her third attempt to place sixth in her event.
As a top-eight finisher, Burris becomes the first Huskies USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-American since Natalie Gottschalk did so in 2018 in the Pentathalon. She is the Huskies' first Long Jump All-American since Becky Schmidt did so in 2015, and her sixth-place NCAA finish is the highest by any SCSU athlete in the past decade.
SCSU's Outdoor Track & Field schedule will be released at a later date.
