CALEDONIA, Mich. – St. Cloud State Men's Soccer (3-6-3 overall, 3-3-2 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) drew 2-2 to Davenport on a cold, windy and rainy Friday night in Caledonia, Mich.

After a scoreless first half, Davenport (3-4-4 overall, 2-3-2 GLIAC) broke through in the 55th minute taking a 1-0 lead. SCSU responded 11 minutes later after fifth-year midfielder Zinedine Kroeten (St. Louis Park, Minn.) put away a cross from sophomore midfielder Yuken Harmon (Coon Rapids, Minn.) to tie the game, 1-1. The Panthers would strike again, regaining the lead in the 83rd minute. SCSU earned a corner kick with 22 seconds remaining in the game. Junior midfielder Philip Caputo (Eagan, Minn.) took the corner with nine seconds remaining and sophomore defender Juan Villegas (Miami, Fla.) headed it home with just three ticks left on the clock to bring the game back to a tie. Getting a point out of the match is a big deal for the Huskies, as they are in a tight race in the GLIAC standings.

Villegas scored the game-tying goal and played all 90 minutes.
Kroeten scored the Huskies first goal and played 84 minutes.
Harmon and Caputo each recorded an assist and logged 26 and 68 minutes respectively.

"Well, that will go down – in our short, three-year history – as the greatest tie in the history of St. Cloud State Men's Soccer. To score with 3.2 seconds left, on the road and get a tie is something...The boys are excited. It will make the trip from Caledonia here in Michigan, over to Saginaw a little bit better...we played in tough conditions, it was raining, cold and windy...We're down one-zero, we're tied one-one – I thought we were going to get out of here with a one-one tie and the next thing you know a long, deflected shot skips on the wet turf and goes in."

On players that stood out... "Juan [Villegas] and Vuke [Mastilovic] were fantastic. I thought that was Andrew [Holmes] and Nolan's [Pratumwon] best game in the middle of the park. Terrific goal from Zinedine [Kroeten], great cross from Yuken [Harmon]. Fantastic corner from Phil Caputo. It was such a team effort – and guys came off the bench and played well. The guys have a lot of resolve, a lot of grit and there's a lot of togetherness right now."

Fifth-year defender Vukota Mastilovic (Belgrade, Serbia) logged 90 minutes for the 11th time this season (ten in a row) and the 34th time in his career...has started every match as a Husky (47 matches).
Fifth-year goalkeeper Dylan De Baldo (Vancouver, Wash.) faced 11 shots and made five saves while playing all 90 minutes for the tenth match in a row (11th time this season).
Junior defender Noah Eklund (Andover, Minn.) played all 90 minutes for the sixth time this season (second in a row) and 27th time in his collegiate career.
