SCSU earns three top-five finishes at Massive Meet #1

Parker Buske takes fourth in the Triple Jump, Paola Brena goes fourth in the High Jump while the St. Cloud State DMR team lands fifth at the Minnesota State Massive Meet #1
MANKATO, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field earned three top-five finishes at the hotly-contested Minnesota State Massive Meet #1 in Mankato on Friday evening. Parker Buske and Paola Brena led the individual competitors with fourth-place marks in the Triple and High Jump respectively while the Distance Medley Relay team took fifth.
Shelby Romig opened the day on the track with a 9.31s run in the 60 Meter Hurdle preliminaries to take 13th while Katie Lavato added a 8.04s run for a top-15 finish in the 60 Meter prelims. The Huskies' Distance Medley Relay team of Clara Welhouse, Lauren Sertich, Mariana Guerra-Reese and Greta Freed placed fifth with a season-best 12:43.79 finish.
In the field, Dacoda Zimmerman earned two top-13 marks in the Shot Put and the Weight Throw. Parker Buske placed 11th in the Long Jump then took fourth in the Triple with a 11.43m bound. Paola Brena added a second fourth-place mark with a 1.67m clear in the High Jump while Julia Rowles took tenth at 1.57m.
