TOP HUSKIES
QUOTEABLES – St. Cloud State head coach Sean Holmes
"I'm disappointed in the result, but we saw a huge improvement from the last couple of games - today is the first time I thought we had sustained effort and quality for 90 minutes."
"This is really what the transition from high school and club soccer to college soccer is - you're playing guys now that if you make mistakes, or you make clusters of mistakes, you'll get punished for it, where as you might not at lower levels, so I thought that was a good learning experience for our guys."
On nonconference schedule... "Those four games are about improving our team and making us better and I think we accomplished that - we went on the road for three of the four, we played at altitude, we played nationally ranked opponents – we played some tough games, so I thought there was great improvement...
On players who stood out... "Yuken Harmon provided a real spark off the bench and Mika Folstad had some moments in the attack and won the penalty by being positive and courageous in the box, which was terrific...lots of other guys did a good job and I think we're moving in the right direction."
On Philip Caputo's impact... "He's the most dynamic attacking player we have - he makes us better."
