Philip Caputo Awarded with All-American Honors

Painesville, Oh.- St. Cloud State senior forward Philip Caputo was honored with All-American honors as announced by the Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) Tuesday afternoon. Caputo was named to Second Team All-America.

The Eagan, Minn. native continues to rack up honors after his historic season with the Huskies this fall. Caputo scored 32 points coming from 13 goals and six assists while tallying five game-winning goals. On a national level, Caputo finished tied for ninth in points, tied for tenth in goals, and tied for third in game-winning goals. Throughout the year, Caputo broke multiple single season program records including points, goals, assists, and game-winning goals. He also set multiple program records including consecutive games with a goal (5), points in a single game (9), and assists in a single game (3). The senior has also been honored with Midwest Region Player of the Year, All-Midwest Region First Team, GLIAC Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-GLIAC, and GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week (x3). Caputo is the first Husky in program history to be honored with All-American honors.
