St. Cloud State Track & Field Records Nine Personal Bests in Final Regular Season Meet

Huskies record 10 top 10 finishes
ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field posted 10 top 10 finishes, nine personal bests and two season bests at the Meet of the UnSaintly at Klas Field (Hamline) in St. Paul on Wednesday.
All four athletes in the 800 meters set new personal bests. Freshman distance runner Abbygail Nunez (South St. Paul, Minn.) paced the group running 2:21.15 and was followed by junior distance runner Hannah Little (Grimes, Iowa) - 2:27.75, freshmen distance runners MerriAnna Johnson (Osceola, Wis.) - 2:29.34 and Alea Briggs - 2:31.40.
Fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) broke the 60 second barrier in the 400 meters for the first time in her career, running 58.50. She also recorded the best individual finish for the Huskies, placing fourth in the 200 meters (25.41) and freshman thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) posted the best field events finish for SCSU in the javelin throw, finishing sixth after a toss of 32.83m/107-8.
In the 100 meters, freshman sprinter Jayla Patterson (Romeoville, Ill.), ran to a new personal best time for the fourth consecutive week and broke 13.00 for the first time, running 12.84. Senior Shelby Romig (Ankeny, Iowa) sprinted to a new season best time of 13.92.
Freshman sprinter Emma Hoppman (Red Wing, Minn.) pr'ed in the 400 meters, 1:01.02, sophomore distance runner Alena Donahue (West Salem, Wis.) ran a new lifetime best in the 1,500 meters (5:01.58) and freshman jumper/sprinter Kinsey Mohwinkle (Aplington, Iowa) split a new personal best in the 400 hurdles (1:07.73).
Sophomore thrower Hannah Bruskiewicz (Rogers, Minn.) posted a new season best in the discus throw (32.87m/107-10).
The quartet of sophomore spinter Jenna Marxhausen (Two Harbors, Minn.), Lavato, freshman sprinter/jumper Zaria Stapleton (Nassau, Bahamas) and Patterson finished fourth in the 4x100 relay (49.16)
