
Pair of Sophomore Throwers Earn CSC Academic All-District® Honors

Bruskiewicz and Reinke cited for academic and athletics performance
GREENWOOD, Ind. – A pair of throwers on the St. Cloud State Track & Field team have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Sophomore throwers Hannah Bruskiewicz (Rogers, Minn.) and Savannah Reinke (Malta Bend, Mo.) were recognized for their success in the classroom and in the field. It is the first time either student-athlete has earned CSC Academic All-District® honors.
Bruskiewicz carries a 3.67 cumulative grade point average as an Environmental Engineering and Hydrology double major. During the 2024-25 season, she set new personal best marks in indoor and outdoor shot put, hammer throw, weight throw and javelin throw. During indoor (11.88m/38-11.75) and outdoor season (12.66m/41-6.5) she held the team's top shot put mark. She has been named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) All-Academic team in addition to being named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. Bruskiewicz was ranked 46th in the Central Region for shot put.
Reinke has a 3.80 GPA as a Mass Communications major. During the 2024-25 season, she set a new personal best mark in the hammer throw. She has been named to the NSIC All-Academic team in addition to being named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. Reinke ranked 46th in the javelin throw among athletes in the Central Region.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Cross Country/Track & Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District® Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher in both undergraduate and graduate studies (if applicable), be in at least their second year of competition at the collegiate level and ranked in the top 50 in their region in at least one single event (cross country regional meet, indoor track & field or outdoor track & field).
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk (*) and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
