2015-16: (Indoor) – All-NSIC recipient as a junior after finishing second in the triple jump (12.02m) and second in the long jump (5.73m) at the conference meet....2016 NCAA Indoor Qualifier in the triple jump...had three event wins in the triple jump and three more event wins in the long jump...(Outdoor) – All-NSIC recipient in the triple jump (11.72m)...placed in the top three in the long jump in five events with a long of 5.67m at the Holst Invite...had two event wins in the triple jump with a long 12:09m at the Holst Invite.
2014-15: (Indoor) – All-NSIC in the triple and long jump...qualified for nationals in both the triple and long jump... (Outdoor)- All-NSIC in the triple jump and qualified for NCAA Nationals...a Second Team All-American in the triple jump in finishing 11thh.
2013-14: The Huskies' DesLauriers Award winner, Yalartai was a leader on the women's track and field team in 2013-14...an All-NSIC recipient as a freshman, Yalartai was an NCAA provisional qualifier and placed third in the triple jump at the 2014 NSIC indoor championships and was a provisional qualifier in the long jump with a fourth place finish at the 2014 NSIC indoor meet...at the 2014 NSIC outdoor championships, Yalartai placed fourth in the long jump...also ran the leadoff leg in the outdoor 4x100-meter relay, which set a new school record in 2014. 19-00.50 and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships.
Before SCSU: A 2013 graduate of Kennedy H.S...prep coach was Pete Svien...4X letter winner in track and field at Kennedy...a team captain and team MVP... third place finish in 2013 state track...broke her high school triple jump record at 37'7'' (2013)...also lettered in cross country at Kennedy.
Personal: The daughter of Agustus King...travel and tourism major and a East Asian studies minor at SCSU...Yalartai was born on the west coast of Africa in Liberia, lived in New York for a couple years and then moved to Minnesota. She started cross country in eighth grade and did not start running track until her freshman year of high school.
