Women's Basketball Travels to Grand View

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team will hit the road for Des Moines, IA on Wednesday, Nov. 20 for a 7 p.m. game against Grand View University.

The Huskies are coming off a 91-65 home opener win over Valley City State University and enter the match-up with a 1-0 overall record. Senior forward Jessica Benson (Grand Meadow) led the Huskies with 19 points and five rebounds on Sunday. Sophomore Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.) finished seven of 10 from the field with 18 points.

Grand View University holds a 2-4 record this season. The Vikings are an NAIA affiliate competing in the Midwest Collegiate Conference (MCC). Â

During the 2012-13 season Grand View finished 22-7 overall and 10-2 in the MCC. The two teams last met on Nov. 27, 2012 as St. Cloud State defeated Grand View 89-49.
