Women's Hoops Travel to Exhibition Game at St. Thomas, Nov. 6

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team will hit the road for their second exhibition game of the season. The Huskies will take on the University of St. Thomas in a 7:30 tip-off at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex in St. Paul, Minn.

- St. Cloud State played their first exhibition game of the season on Oct. 26 at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay (Division I).
- The Huskies fell to the Phoenix 63-74, after being down by just one point at half time (31-32). There were four tied scores and five lead changes throughout the contest.
- Senior guard Rachael Moen (Savage) and sophomore forward Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac) led the Huskies offensively, each finishing with 11 points.
- SCSU was picked to finish 5th overall in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Preseason Coaches Poll. They were picked to finish 1st in the NSIC North Division.
- The Huskies will officially open their season at home in Halenbeck Hall on Nov. 17 as they host Valley City State University at 2 p.m.

- D3hoops.com ranked St. Thomas women's basketball team No. 5 in the 2013-14 preseason poll.
- Earlier, the division IIIÂ USA Today and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) polls ranked the Tommies No. 11.
- Senior All-American Taylor Young is expected to lead the Tommies this season. She enters the year with 981 career points.
- Young is a three-time All-MIAC honoree.
- Last season the Tommies finished 24-6 overall and 17-4 in conference play.
