St. Cloud State Women's Basketball Falls to UMD, 74-75

Duluth, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team traveled to Duluth, Minn. this afternoon to take on Minnesota Duluth. The Huskies fell to the Bulldogs ending their eight game winning streak with a final score of 74-75. St. Cloud State defeated UMD earlier this season winning 81-67.
St. Cloud State falls to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC. Minnesota Duluth improves to 5-5 and 3-3 in conference play.
Sophomore guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) led the Huskies with 22 points. Nooker collected four rebounds and three steals.
Both Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.) and Betsy MacDonald (St. Paul, Minn.) finished with 14 points. Petermann grabbed four rebounds and made 6 of 10 from the field.
MacDonald made 2 of 2 from behind the arc and finished with two assists.
The Huskies forced 20 turnovers on the Bulldogs compared to their own 15. Minnesota Duluth shot 47.3% from the field and 36.4% from the 3-point range. St. Cloud State shot
71.4% from behind the line. The Bulldogs outrebounded the Huskies 41-31.
Taylor Meyer led all players finishing with a double-double. Meyer collected 28 points for the Bulldogs and 10 rebounds.
St. Cloud State will return to action Dec. 30 as they host Mayville State University at 6 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. Mayville is currently 8-3 overall.
