SCSU Women's Basketball Defeats Bemidji State, 76-51

Bemidji, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team travel to Bemidji, Minn. this evening to take on the Bemidji State Beavers. The Huskies were victorious over Bemidji State with a final score of 76-51.
St. Cloud State improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. Bemidji State falls to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
Sophomore guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) recorded a double-double this evening. Nooker led all players with 16 points, shooting 7 of 11 from the field and collecting 10 rebounds and 5 steals.
Two additional Huskies finished in double-digit scoring. Lexy Peterman (Fond du Lac, Wis.) knocked down 3 shots from behind the arc, finishing with 13 points and five rebounds this evening. Karissa LeCaptain (Algoma, Wis.) finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds. LeCaptain shot 5 of 10 from the field.
Sierra Senske led the Beavers with 14 points and 5 rebounds.
St. Cloud State out rebounded Bemidji State 44-30. The Huskies also forced 11 steals compared to the Beavers 4. SCSU shot 48.4% from the field while BSU shot 32.2%.
St. Cloud State returns to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Minnesota-Crookston at 4 p.m.
