Sioux Falls, S.D. – The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team traveled to Sioux Falls, S.D. this evening to take on the Vikings of Augustana. The Huskies defeated the Vikings with a final score of 81-71.

St. Cloud State improves to 9-6 overall and 8-3 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Augustana falls to 13-4 overall and 7-4 in conference play.

The Huskies shot 44.4% from the field compared to the Vikings 38.8%. St. Cloud State forced 15 turnovers and outrebounded the Vikings, 40-39.

Junior guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) led the Huskies with 23 points. Nooker made 8 of 13 from the field.

Junior guard Betsy MacDonald (St. Paul, Minn.) finished with 22 points and six assists. MacDonald made three of six from behind the arc.

Karissa LeCaptain (Algoma, Wis.) chipped in ten points and six rebounds.

Logan O'Farrell led Augustana with 22 points.

St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Wayne, Neb. The Huskies will take on the Wildcats of Wayne State at 4 p.m. Wayne State is currently 10-6 overall and 7-4 in the NSIC.
