
Women's Hockey on the Road to Take on No. 2 Minnesota

St. Cloud State University Women's Hockey will travel to Minneapolis, MN to take on University of Minnesota for a pair of conference games. The Huskies Gophers will face off Saturday, October 19 at 4:07 pm and Sunday, October 20 at 2:07 pm. Both games will be played at Ridder Arena.
Scouting the Gophers
The Gophers come off the weekend sweeping Robert Morris 4-3 and 6-2. Overall, the Gophers are on a six game winning streak this season and are ranked nationally at No. 2. In the WCHA, the Gophers are 2-0 after sweeping Minnesota State on October 4th and 5th. Sophomore Taylor Heise leads the Gophers in points so far with 12 total (5g, 7a).
A Look at the Huskies
The Huskies swept RIT this past weekend in non-conference play in Rochester, NY. SCSU defeated RIT 4-1 and 3-0. Freshman Olivia Cvar and Klara Hymlarova tallied their first collegiate goals, while goaltender Janine Alder earned her fifth career shutout. Klara Hymlarova leads the Huskies in points with 5 total (1g, 4a).

Upcoming Events
On October 25th and 26th, the Huskies will return home for a pair of conference games against Minnesota State University - Mankato at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. There will be a 'Skate with the Huskies' event on Oct. 26 after the men's game that night at the HBNHC. This event includes both the players from the men's and women's teams at SCSU. The event is free and open to the public. They can bring their own skates or rent them from the pro shop at the HBNCH. The women will play Mankato at 2:07 pm that day and the men will then play Northeastern at 6:07 pm. 'Skate with the Huskies' will be right after the end of the men's game.
