MOORHEAD, MINN. This weekend, the St. Cloud State University track and field team sent a portion of the team to Minnesota State University– Moorhead for the Ron Masanz Classic. The ladies had great weather and good competition notching a few top ten finishes.

Junior distance runner Chrissy Lofgren ran a great race taking first place in the 3000M steeplechase with a time of 11:42.68.

Jumper Mauria Oldham took third in the long jump with a personal best of 5.31M (17'5.24").

Dacoda Zimmerman took eighth place in shot put with a mark of 12.55M (41'2.25"). During Friday's competition she also obtained a new personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 37.88M (124'3").

Junior Autum Shurbert Hetzel took seventh place in the 800M dash with a time of 2:26.64.

In the 100M dash Bailee Brazerol took fifth place with her fastest time this season, 12.75 seconds

Dominique Buechel took sixth place overall in the discus with a mark of 40.79M (133'10"). She also ended in ninth place in the women's hammer throw on Friday with a mark of 45.99m (150'11").

Annie Falardeau had a good weekend taking tenth in both events she competed in. In the women's discus throw with a mark of 26.28M (119'0"), and in the women's shot put she obtained a mark of 12.21m (40'0.75").

Freshman Emma Gauert reached a new personal best in the pole vault at a height of 3.05M (10'), gaining a ninth place finish overall.

Jocelyn Johnson took sixth place in the 100M hurdles with a time of 15.90 seconds.

Annika Juenemann ran a great race, taking sixth place in the 5000M run with a time of 19:12.70.

Overall, it was a great week for the Huskies. The team took significant strides towards preparing for the NSIC Conference Championships, May 10^th-11^th at Duluth.
