St. Cloud State Men's Soccer to Host Saginaw Valley State

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - St. Cloud State men's soccer (3-6-3, 2-5-1 GLIAC) will host Saginaw Valley State at Husky Stadium on Friday, October 14. The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. Flo Sports will provide the stream and live stats will be available on scsuhuskies.com.
Weekend Promo
Friday's match will be jersey and youth night. Wear your favorite sports jersey to the match and kids 13 & under will receive free admission. Following the conclusion of the match, there will be post-game autographs with the team.Â
Rewind
The Huskies are coming off a successful weekend. St. Cloud State took down the Purdue Northwest Pride 3-2 on Friday, October 7 for their second straight win against a GLIAC opponent on the road. Freshman Owen Worsdell provided two of the husky goals, including the game winning goal. Freshman Miguel Konde Gwo netted a mark of his own.

St. Cloud State ended in a 2-2 draw with Davenport Sunday, October 9. Nolan Pratumwon and Philip Caputo each tallied a mark. Gage Steiner was a force in the box making seven saves on the day. Including key saves late in the game to keep the match at a draw.

Gage Steiner is currently tied for first in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for saves with 37. Owen Worsdell ranks fourth for goals in the GLIAC with four on the season.

Scouting Saginaw Valley
Saginaw Valley's last three games have ended in a tie. They tied with UW-Parkside on September 25 (0-0) and October 7 (1-1). The match against Northern Michigan ended in a 2-2 draw (Oct. 9). The Cardinal's Jonathan Monney currently ranks first in the GLIAC for goals with 11 on the season. Saginaw holds the top spot in the conference with 5-0-3 (GLIAC), 8-0-4 overall record. The Huskies last faced Saginaw Valley on September 18 where SCSU fell 3-0 to the Cardinal's.
