St. Cloud State Men's Soccer Takes on Northern Michigan & UW-Parkside for Homecoming Weekend

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - St. Cloud State men's soccer (3-7-3, 2-6-1 GLIAC) continues their four game homestand this homecoming weekend. The Huskies will host Northern Michigan on Friday, October 21 followed by UW-Parkside on Sunday, October 23. St. Cloud currently ranks 6th in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).Â

Friday's match will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. CT while Sunday's match has a noon CT start. Flo Sports will provide the stream for both matches while live stats are available on scsuhuskies.com.
Weekend Promos
Friday's promos includes a pre-game pizza party and anyone who purchases a men's hockey ticket for that evening will receive free admission to the men's soccer match. Sunday's match will honor our senior players for Senior Day and the first 25 attendees will receive a free SCSU foam finger.Â

The Huskies fell 4-2 in a hard fought battle to the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals last Friday. Philip Caputo scored both of the Husky goals. His two goals puts him as the third Husky to score a multi-goal game in program history. Gage Steiner tallied five saves on the evening. The goalkeeper is ranked third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for saves with 42.

Scouting Northern Michigan
Northern Michigan holds a 3-6-4 overall, 2-4-3 GLIAC record. The Wildcats have tied two of their last three games with one loss. Northern Michigan tied 2-2 with Saginaw Valley State (Oct. 9), tied 1-1 with Davenport (Oct. 14)Â and fell 2-0 to Purdue Northwest (Oct. 16). The Huskies fell 3-0 against the Wildcats in their first meeting on September 11.

UW-Parkside records a 8-2-3 overall, 5-1-3 GLIAC record. The Rangers have tied two of their last three games with a 2-1 win over Davenport (Oct. 16). Parkside tied 1-1 against Saginaw Valley State (Oct. 7) and 0-0 to Purdue Northwest (Oct. 14). UW-Parkside currently stands second in the GLIAC. The Huskies fell 5-2 in their first meeting with the Rangers on September 9.
