
St. Cloud State Track & Field Set for NSIC Challenge

Huskies will compete Saturday in Mankato
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – After a weekend of rest, the St. Cloud State Women's Track & Field team is headed back to Mankato this weekend for the NSIC Challenge, slated to take place Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Myers Field House. The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. CT with field events, followed by track events at Noon CT.

In its last time out, the Huskies recorded four top-10 finishes at the Mark Schuck open in Mankato on Jan. 28-29, including a win in the pentathlon from senior Hannah Arason (Grand Forks, N.D.). Arason was named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week for her performance, as she won the multi-event in Mankato a score of 3,691 points, a score which ranks third in NCAA DII and first in the NSIC. The mark surpassed the NCAA Provisional by almost 500 points (3,258), as she won the 60m hurdles (9.07), high jump (1.70m/5-7), long jump (5.40m/17-8.75) and the 800m run (2:25.92). Her high jump mark of 1.70m (5-7) places her 11th in NCAA Division II and second in the NSIC.
