St. Cloud State Track & Field to Open Outdoor Season at Hamline Invitational

Huskies will have 25 entries in 14 events on Saturday in St. Paul
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State Women's Track & Field team will open its 2022 outdoor season this weekend at the Hamline Invitational, set for Saturday, April 2 at Klas Field in St. Paul, Minn. The Huskies will have 25 entries competing in 14 events for Saturday's outdoor opener.
In track events, the Huskies will see the return of junior Cheresa Bouley (Zimmerman, Minn.), who will be competing in the 5000m run. Bouley earned All-NSIC Second Team Honors at the 2021 NSIC Cross Country Championships with a 16th-place finish at 22:41.9 and set a 6K personal best with a 34th-place finish at 21:59.5 at the 2021 NCAA DII Central Region Championships. Over the winter months, Bouley competed for the SCSU Nordic Ski team, as she record a pair of top-20 finishes at the Central Collegiate Ski Association Conference Championships.
In field events, the Huskies will be led by junior Parker Buske (Madison, Wis.), who earned All-America honors by finishing ninth in the triple jump at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Buske produced a personal best mark of 12.22m (40-1.25) to finish ninth.
The Huskies were selected to finish 10th in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll. will look to build off built-up momentum and improve off its ninth-place finish at the 2021 NSIC Outdoor Championships and an 11th-place finish at the 2022 NSIC Indoor Championships.
