Huskies drop 57-48 decision to MSU Moorhead in weekend finale
MOORHEAD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Basketball (5-3 overall, 2-2 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) dropped its second conference game in a row, falling to MSU Moorhead, 57-48 on Saturday at Nemzek Fieldhouse in Moorhead.
The Huskies got off to a slow start again, falling behind 17-5 after the first quarter. The Dragons (2-7, 2-2 NSIC) would enter the break maintaining their 12-point lead. The Huskies would burst out of the halftime break again, scoring 21 third quarter points, cutting the deficit to just one point heading into the final quarter. SCSU took the lead in the fourth quarter, holding on for just under two minutes before falling behind again. MSUM scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, including 12 free throws, and held the Huskies to 3-of-15 (20.0%) shooting from the field and 1-of-6 (16.7%) from three to close out the game and earn the victory.

- Senior forward Jasmine Litt (Pulaski, Wis.) was the only Husky in double-figures, scoring a game-high 11 points on 4-of-9 from the field and 3-of-4 from three in 22 minutes off the bench. She also grabbed three rebounds and blocked two shots.
- Senior guard Morgan Draheim (Hortonville, Wis.) scored nine points and added three steals and two assists.
- Sophomore guard Jada Eggebrecht (Phillips, Wis.) scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds.
NOTABLES
- After the loss, SCSU is now 36-30 all-time against MSU Moorhead.
- SCSU led the game in field goal percentage (31.6%-30.8%), free throw percentage (80.0%-76.9%), field goals (18-16), steals (9-6), blocks (6-3), points off turnovers (17-6) and second chance points (7-6).
- NSU led in three-point percentage (27.8%-20.0%), three pointers (5-4), free throws (20-8), total rebounds (11-35—46 – 5-28—33), assists (11-7), points in the paint (18-16) and bench points (26-16).
- The teams both scored 10 fast break points.
- Litt has scored in double figures in five of the last six games. Tied a career-high blocking two shots.
- Draheim set a new career-high with three steals. She has recorded at least one steal in each of the last five games. She has seven career games with two steals including five this season alone.
- Eggebrecht's streak of games scoring double-digit points ended at ten. She made a season-high three free throws.
- Senior guard Tori Peschel (Sauk Centre, Minn.) scored six points, grabbed five rebounds and recorded a season-high four steals. She tied season-highs in field goals made (three) and field goals attempted (six).
- Sophomore forward Ashley Sawicki (Waunakee, Wis.) recorded five points and six rebounds.
- Senior forward Dru Henning (Mukwonago, Wis.) grabbed a season-high six rebounds and tied her season-high shooting five three-pointers.
