Southwest Minnesota State drops Huskies, 79-55
MARSHALL, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Basketball (7-5 overall, 4-4 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) fell to Southwest Minnesota State (9-6, 7-2 NSIC), 79-55 Saturday evening at the R/A Facility in Marshall.

- Sophomore forward Ashley Sawicki (Waunakee, Wis.) scored a team-high 10 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. She was 3-of-6 from the field and 4-of-6 from the line.
- Senior guard Tori Peschel (Sauk Centre, Minn.) scored nine points on 3-of-5 shooting and tallied three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
- Freshman guard Alana Zarneke (Appleton, Wis.) scored eight points on 3-of-4 shooting.
- SCSU is now 42-18 all-time against Southwest Minnesota State after the loss.
- SCSU led the game in free throw percentage (65.0%-57.1%), free throws (13-4) and bench points (26-15).
- SMSU led in field goal percentage (54.1%-34.5%), three-point percentage (34.6%-25.0%), field goals (33-19), three pointers (9-4), total rebounds (7-32—39 – 7-23—30), assists (16-10), steals (8-7), blocks (3-1), points off turnovers (15-12), points in the paint (48-28), second-chance points (9-7) and fast break points (8-2).
- Sawicki has scored in double digits in seven games this season including the last four. She has grabbed 8+ rebounds in six games this season.
- Peschel recorded season-highs in points (nine), field goals (three – tie) and three pointers (one – tie). She has grabbed 3+ rebounds in all eight games she's played in.
- Zarneke tied career-bests in minutes (14), free throws (two), free throws attempted (two) and rebounds (two).
- Senior forward Jasmine Litt (Pulaski, Wis.) scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds. She has scored at least seven points in seven games this season. She has recorded 3+ rebounds in eight games this season including the last three games.
- Senior guard Morgan Draheim (Hortonville, Wis.) scored five points and grabbed five rebounds.
- Sophomore guard Jada Eggebrecht (Phillips, Wis.) scored five points. Only eight game of career and third this season to score under 10 points.
- Sophomore guard Alyssa Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) tied career-highs in minutes (24), free throws (two) and free throws attempted (four).
- Freshman guard Grace Roesch (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) scored her first collegiate point, making her first collegiate free throw.
