St. Cloud State Track & Field Wins Three Events at Rider/Bolstorff Invitational, Places Fourth as a Team

Huskies record 10 top five finishes, 10 personal bests
ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field recorded three event wins, 10 top five finishes, 10 personal bests and three season bests at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational at the Macalester Stadium in St. Paul on Saturday.
Freshman jumper/sprinter Kinsey Mohwinkle (Aplington, Iowa) won the high jump after clearing a career-best 1.60m/5-3, senior jumper/middle distance runner Makaylin Christenson (Prairie Farm, Wis.) won the triple jump after a career best leap of 11.15m/36-7 and fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) won the 200 meters in 25.24. Mohwinkle also ran a new personal best time in the 400 hurdles (1:09.40) and Lavato was third in the 100 after running 12.20.
After tying her career best time in the 100 meters on Wednesday, freshman sprinter Jayla Patterson (Romeoville, Ill.), broke through and ran a new personal best time of 13.01. She also ran to a new personal best in the 200 (27.02). Sophomore sprinter Jenna Marxhausen (Two Harbors, Minn.) ran a new season's best time in the 200 (26.61).
Sophomore thrower Hannah Bruskiewicz (Rogers, Minn.) recorded a new personal best in the javelin throw (25.45m/83-6) and a new season best in the discus throw (32.08m/105-3). Fellow sophomore thrower Savannah Reinke (Malta Bend, Mo.) posted a new personal best in the hammer throw (35.28m/115-9) and freshman thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) tallied a new personal best in the discus (35.87m/117-8).
Senior Viola Okey-Ezealah (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) placed third in the triple jump after a new personal best leap of 10.84m/35-6.75, senior Shelby Romig (Ankeny, Iowa) placed fifth in the long jump with a new season best mark (5.03m/16-6) and freshman sprinter/jumper Zaria Stapleton (Nassau, Bahamas) posted a new personal best in the long jump (4.98m/16-4.25).
