ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field continues its stretch of out-of-state competition on Saturday at the Luther (Iowa) Invitational at Carlson Stadium in Decorah, Iowa. Field events are set to begin at 11 a.m. and running events will start at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
St. Cloud State Track & Field continued its outdoor season at the Emporia State Relays, at Francis G. Welch Stadium Emporia on March 28-29. The Huskies placed 11th out of 26 teams after compiling 21 points. SCSU also recorded five top-10 finishes, 14 new personal bests and six season bests.
Senior jumper/middle distance runner Makaylin Christenson (Prairie Farm, Wis.) finished second in the high jump after she cleared 1.65m/5-5 for the first time in her career. Last weekend, she cleared 1.60m/5-3 for the first time ever. She also ran to a new personal best time in the 200 (26.78).
Sophomore distance runner Alena Donahue (West Salem, Wis.) was fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase, after running a new personal best time of 12:06.03.
Freshman distance runner Abbygail Nunez (South St. Paul, Minn.) set new personal bests in the 800 meters (2:26.01) and 1,500 meters (5:09.47) and sophomore sprinter Viola Okey-Ezealah (Port-Harcourt, Nigeria) clocked new personal best times in the 200 meters (26.50) and 400 hurdles (1:15.16).
Sophomore sprinter Jenna Marxhausen (Two Harbors, Minn.) set a new personal best in the 400 meters (1:03.82) and a new season best in the 200 meters (27.29), while freshman multi-event athlete Kaylee Cooper (Loudon, Tenn.) ran to new personal best times in both the 200 (28.89) and the 400 (1:09.08).
Freshman sprinter/hurdler Zaria Stapleton (Nassau, Bahamas) and freshman sprinter Jayla Patterson (Romeoville, Ill.) each ran personal bests in the 200, running 26.91 and 27.35 respectively.
Fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) ran to new season best times in the 100 (12.10) and 200 meters (25.49) and sophomore sprinter/jumper Myesha Thompson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) recorded a new season best time in the 200 (26.88).
Freshman thrower Mackenzie McMahon (Baraboo, Wis.) posted a new personal best in the shot put (11.69m/38-4.25), while fellow freshman thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) recorded a new personal best in the hammer throw (39.85m/130-9).
Patterson, Okey-Ezealah, Stapleton and Lavato were part of a 4x100 meter relay that ran a new season best time (48.88), while Patterson, Cooper, Marxhausen and Amorie Northington ran a new season best time in the 4x200 meter relay (1:44.34).

A three-time All-American hurdler at Hamline, Brown joined St. Cloud State after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Macalester.
