Winona State Ends SCSU's Run at NSIC Tournament

The Huskies lost all three spots in double play and also dropped matches at first and fourth singles in the match against Winona State in the NSIC semifinals. The match was played at the Lifetime Fitness Tennis Complex in Minnetonka.
In the other semifinal match, top seed Augustana gained a 5-0 win over Minnesota State. To gain entrance to the semi's SCSU posted a 6-0 win over Upper Iowa on April 20. In the other first round matches, Winona State defeated Mary 5-0, MSU defeated Northern State 5-2 and Augustana defeated Sioux Falls, 6-0. Augustana went on to win the NSIC crown with a 5-2 win over Winona State on April 21.
The loss to Winona moves SCSU's 2013 record to 17-12 overall.
