St. Cloud State Women's Basketball Tops Bemidji State, 61-55

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team hosted Bemidji State University this evening in a NSIC match-up. The Huskies were victorious over Bemidji State with a final score of 61-55.
St. Cloud State improves to 10-4 overall and 6-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Bemidji State falls to 5-10 overall and 2-8 in conference play.
The Huskies trailed the Beavers for most of the game only pulling ahead with 5:44 left in the second (46-44). St. Cloud State obtained their largest lead of seven points with 2:55 left in the second. The Huskies shot 38.7% from the field while the Beavers shot 43.4%. SCSU forced 18 turnovers on the Beavers compared to their own 13. St. Cloud State also outrebounded Bemidji State 39-29.
Junior forward Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.) finished the night with a double-double. Petermann tallied 12 rebounds and 13 points. She made five of ten from the field and one of three from behind the arc.
Sophomore guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) recording 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Nooker made 6 of 11 from the field.
Sophomore guard Betsy MacDonald (St. Paul, Minn.) recorded nine points and three assists for the Huskies.
Sierra Senske led all players with 17 points for Bemidji State.
St. Cloud State will return to action next weekend as they host Augustana College and Wayne State College. Augustana is currently 10-7 overall and 4-6 in conference play. Wayne State stands at 13-3 overall and 7-3 in the NSIC.
