SCSU women's tennis opens NSIC season with loss to BSU

In the 2019 NSIC season opener, the St. Cloud State University women's tennis team (0-2, 0-1 NSIC) lost a 5-2 decision against Bemidji State University on Saturday, Feb. 9. The match was played at a neutral site location in Duluth, Minn. The Huskies will complete their weekend trip to Duluth, Minn. with a match against NSIC rival Minnesota Crookston on Sunday, Feb. 10.

In action against BSU, the Huskies gained a 6-4, 6-2 victory by Fernanda Morais Quintino dos Santos at first singles and a victory at sixth singles by Jill Kedrowski (7-5, 5-7, 10-3). In doubles play, Morais Quintino dos Santos and Kedrowski posted a 6-1 victory at first doubles for the Huskies.
