SCSU Tennis opens Florida trip with victory over Oneonta

The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team (3-7, 2-6 NSIC) opened its schedule of matches in the Orlando, Fla. area with a 6-1 victory over SUNY-Oneonta on Tuesday, March 5.

The Huskies claimed wins at all six singles matches to ice the victory and also claimed a victory at second doubles. At first singles, Fernanda Morais Quintino dos Santos posted a 6-0, 6-1 win followed by a straight set 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles by Samantha Fitzpatrick. At #3 singles, Melissa Nierenhausen added a win for SCSU along with a win by Ann Marie White at fourth singles (6-0, 6-1). At fifth singles, Jill Kedrowski won 6-2, 6-1 and Olivia Fredrickson won a 6-0, 6-2 match at sixth singles.

In doubles play, Fitzpatirck and White tallied a 6-4 victory for the Huskies at second doubles. Complete results of the match are listed below. The Huskies will continue their trip to Florida on March 6 with a match against Seton Hill.
