SCSU women's tennis adds victory over Southern Indiana on March 7

The Huskies' second doubles team of Anne Marie White and Samantha Fitzpatrick gained a key 7-5 victory after batting back from a 1-4 deficit in the match. The victory helped SCSU clinch the important doubles point as Abby Scheck and Olivia Fredrickson also earned a 6-4 win at third doubles.
In singles play, SCSU's Fernanda Morais Quintino dos Santos (1st singles), Samantha Fitzpatrick (2nd singles), Jill Kedrowski (4th singles) and Abby Scheck (6th singles) all gained wins for the Huskies in Orlando.
"Our second double team came back from a 1-4 deficit and it was a great win for them. The win helped us get the doubles point. It was a hot sunny day here and our singles players were tenacious out there today," SCSU coach Berit Merrill said.
The complete results for the matches are listed below. SCSU will complete its trip to Orlando with a match against MIssouri Western on March 8.
