QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Men's Soccer Head Coach Sean Holmes
"A theme of the year has been our quest for constant improvement, and today that happened again. Even the difference between us managing the second half with a lead as opposed to how we did on Friday night was remarkably improved, and that's what we've been striving for every day. As for Andres Garcia scoring seven goals in conference play, his hat trick today was outstanding. I think we're seeing the benefit of teams organizing their defenses for Emmanuel Iwe, and it's creating opportunities for other guys. The back four – Charlie Pritchard with the great assist, the leadership of Eddie Saydee, the aerial power of Vukota Mastilovic and the relentless effort and energy of Bryant Alexander was really good. I thought Matthew Janke had a really solid game. I was disappointed with the goal because we let them back into it, but the difference between tonight and Friday was that it didn't turn into two or three goals. These Sunday games in the GLIAC are really tough. Whether you're at home or traveling, to put in two monumental efforts every weekend is hard work. Most importantly, our goal was to make collegiate soccer a fun event for our fans, and I think we've done that now. Scoring five goals over the course of the weekend was good, and I think its what people want to see. I'm pleased with the spectacle we provided."
