ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Soccer fell 3-0 at the hands of UW-Parkside on Sunday afternoon, putting just one shot on goal in the loss. 22 players spent time on the pitch as the Huskies battled throughout the match.
TURNING POINT

TOP HUSKIES

• Matthew Janke made one save in a scoreless 30 minutes at keeper.
NOTES

QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Men's Soccer Head Coach Sean Holmes
"Today's match encapsulated the second half of our season. Again there was real promise and lots of potential demonstrated at different moments of the game. All three goals come down to lapses in concentration. They ran up the middle of our team for the first goal and we held steady for a while, and then we gave up goals either side of halftime that really put the result out of question. I was pleased with our fight in general in the second half. We played a lot of guys, not to say that we're now building for next year, but it gave guys an opportunity to stake a claim for their position within the team moving forward. Both goalkeepers Gage Steiner and Matthew Janke were solid. Much of our progress in the future will not just be on the field, but will be dictated by how we apply ourselves in the weight room, in the classroom and in our community. I'm looking forward to Thursday's final game and to end the season on a high note. We'll use this final road trip as our launching pad for 2022."
