Women’s Track and Field travels to Bemidji State for Shena Devin-Remitz Triangular

St. Cloud State women's track and field heads to Bemidji State this Friday for their 2021 indoor regular season finale at 5:00 p.m. CST. The Huskies and Beavers will wrap up their indoor slate ahead of next weekend's NSIC Indoor Championships in Mankato.
SCSU is fresh off a first-of-three finish at the Frederick P. Baker triangular in Bemidji last Friday, finishing ahead of Bemidji State (103.5) and Minnesota-Duluth (86.0) with a 123.5 mark. Katherine Todd (3000 M), Makayla Rice (400 M), Leighten Fischer (600 M), Faith Lubner (60 M Hurdles), Emelia Burris (60 M/Long Jump) and Parker Buske (Triple Jump) each won their respective events to lead a host of outstanding individual performances.
Burris presently ranks first in the NSIC with a 5.86m long jump mark and fifth in the 60 M at 7.65, while Lubner sits at third in both 60 M hurdles (8.76) and pentathlon (3471). Buske joins her two teammates with a top-five rank with a 11.52m triple jump, good for fifth in the conference. Gracie Elsenpeter and Emma Gauert are tied for eighth with a 3.24m pole vault, Annie Falardreau sits eighth with a 13.40m shot put and the 4x400 team of Cassidy Lackovic, Makayla Rice, Kaylee Gessay and Karla Encarnacion also stands in eighth with a 4:07.23 time to round out the top-10 ranking Huskies.
Friday's meet will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Gillett Wellness Center. Competing teams are St. Cloud State, Minnesota-Duluth and Bemidji State.
