ST. CLOUD, Minn. - St. Cloud State men's soccer earns their first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference shut out win at Upper Iowa 2-0. Rhys Ward gave St. Cloud their first goal followed by Miguel Konde Gwo with the second to keep the Huskies on top. Gage Steiner was flawless in goal with three saves and a shut out.

TURNING POINT

After a scoreless first half, Rhys Ward fired one to the back of the net off a beautiful feed from Noah Eklund and Nolan Pratumwon. Then at the 77th minute Jake Leonard found Miguel Konde Gwo for a deep shot that got past the Peacocks goalkeeper to find the back of the net putting the Huskies up 2-0.

The first was Noah Eklund running the end line and setting up Rhys Ward for a first time strike, worthy of GOAT status. The second was a dazzling strike by Miguel Konde Gwo off a clever pass from Jake Leonard. Collective effort and intelligence won the day."
