QUOTABLES - St. Cloud State Head Coach Sean Holmes
"Today was the first time in our short GLIAC history that we secured points on a Sunday after playing on a Friday. For us to go on the road to such a good opponent, a tie was seen as a disappointment by the boys which gives you an idea of the progress we've made. We took a great first half lead on a great left footed finish by Nolan Pratumwon. A second goal by the great Philip Caputo. The penalty won bravely by Austin Plumhoff. They really put us under pressure in the second half. We cracked a couple of times but we've really developed a great deal of resilience and perhaps were unlucky to not get the win in the dying moments of the game. Zinedine Kroeten and our attacking players were all dangerous. Owen Worsdell was once again terrific. Our back four lead by Vukota Mastilovic and Noah Kantorowicz with Rhys Ward filling in were terrific. Most notable were the performances at the outside backs by Noah Eklund and Charlie Pritchard who both gave us lots of quality minutes. What was most notable was our effort off the bench. We have lots of guys who've not have had the opportunity they crave to contribute really step up today and help. That is the most positive find of our growth. As we continue to deepen our bench and have guys understand that its not just 11 on the field that win games. We are excited to finish off our season with four straight home games in a row. We will go to work on Tuesday to get ready to do that."
