St. Cloud State Women's Basketball Comeback Pays Off Against UMary

Huskies go on a late 14 point answered scoring run late in the fourth
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State women's basketball team had an impressive comeback against UMary Friday evening. A late scoring run by the Huskies sealed a 71-61 victory over the Marauders. Jada Eggebrecht led the night in scoring with 21 points.
GAME SUMMARY
The Huskies entered the locker room at half down 42-33 despite a close back and fourth game in the first period. UMary found their momentum during the second period to give them a lead of 11 at one point while holding St. Cloud to a .308 shooting percentage from the floor. Jada Eggebrecht led first half scoring with nine points while Katrina Theis put up eight.
During the second half, it was a different game. The Huskies went to work and chipped away at the Marauders lead. St. Cloud out scored UMary 18 to 12 in the third period while holding the Marauders to a .286 shooting percentage. UMary held the lead in the fourth period until the Huskies went on a 14 point unanswered scoring run at the 7:04 mark. The Marauders were helpless to respond to the Huskies offensive attack as St. Cloud closed the evening with a 71-61 victory. St. Cloud held UMary to just .154 shooting in the fourth period. Four Huskies ended the night with double-digit scoring.
