St. Cloud State Track & Field Set for NSIC Outdoor Championships

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Track & Field is set to compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Championships in Aberdeen, S.D. The meet will be hosted by Northern State and held Thursday, May 12 – Saturday, May 14 at the Swisher Activities Complex.

The Huskies are coming off a pair of meets in Mankato last week, as the competed in the Maverick Open and Deb Schulz Open, where St. Cloud State had 19 top-five finishes in the two days of events, including event wins in the triple jump from graduate Maya Taylor (Oswego, Ill.) and in the javelin from senior Hannah Arason (Grand Forks, N.D.). Taylor produced a mark of 11.80m (38-8.75) in the triple jump to finish first, while Arason recorded a mark of 41.65m (136-7) in the javelin. Junior Parker Buske (Madison, Wis.) posted a runner-up mark in the long jump with a mark of 5.87m (19-3.25).

The Huskies enter the weekend with nine top-10 marks in the conference, listed below.
