Estrada Named NSIC Player of the Week

Estrada earns the honor for the second time in her career
BURNSVILLE, Minn. - St. Cloud State graduate student designated player Jasmin Estrada was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday. Estrada had a phenomenal weekend performance and made her mark in Huskies history.

Estrada had a big weekend at the plate for St. Cloud State as she helped the Huskies go 4-1 over three days. She went 8-for-16 through four games with 11 RBIs adding seven runs, five extra base hits, three home runs, and two doubles. In the Huskies win over UW-Parkside, Estrada went 2-3 with five RBIs, one home run and a double. Against Bemidji State, she added three RBIs, hit a three-run home run and a double in SCSU's win.

Additionally, Estrada set the all-time career leading RBI record after blasting a walk-off three-run home run against Concordia-St. Paul. Estrada established the new career mark for RBI with 170, passing the legendary Brooke Gentzler's mark of 161.

Estrada and the Huskies will be back in action as they open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play on Tuesday, March 28. The Huskies will host Minnesota Duluth at the Husky Dome for a double-header.
