A DEBUT SEASON TO REMEMBER
Paola Brena enters the NCAA Championships ranked No. 5 in the NCAA with a 1.75m clear in the High Jump this Outdoor season and is in search of her third collegiate All-American honor. Brena also qualified for the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships in the High Jump and earned Second Team All-NSIC honors in addition to USTFCCCA All-Region accolades in both the Indoor and Outdoor seasons this year. A first-year Husky after grad transferring from Franklin Pierce, Brena is already ranked No. 2 all-time in the SCSU Outdoor High Jump top 10 list. Should she All-American on Friday with a top 12 mark, Brena would become the 68th Huskies All-American and just the second in the High Jump after GiGi DesLauriers earned the honors in 1991.
