St. Cloud State Track & Field Set to Make Short Trip for CSB Invitational

Huskies head to Clemens Stadium in Collegeville Thursday for CSB Invitational
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field is set to compete in its first in-state meet of the outdoor season on Thursday at the CSB Invitational at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville (Saint John's). Field events and running events will both start at 3 p.m. and the multi-events will begin at 4:20 p.m.

St. Cloud State Track & Field competed at the NDSU Spring Classic, at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex in Fargo, North Dakota on Friday, April 11. The Huskies recorded one event win, 10 top-10 finishes, 11 new personal bests and three season bests.
Senior jumper/middle distance runner Makaylin Christenson (Prairie Farm, Wis.) won the high jump for the second consecutive week after clearing 1.62m/5-3.75. In her first time doing the event outdoors, Christenson shattered her long jump personal best by six inches (5.33m/17-6).
Sophomore distance runner Alena Donahue (West Salem, Wis.) ran a new personal best in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:57.83), cutting nearly 10 seconds off her previous best to finish third in the event. Freshman Lauren Woelfel (Becker, Minn.) was sixth in the pole vault after clearing a new personal best height (3.51m/11-6.25).
Fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) finished seventh in the 400 meters after running a new personal best time of 1:00.73. Sophomore sprinter Jenna Marxhausen (Two Harbors, Minn.) also ran a new personal best time in the event (1:03.16). Marxhausen also clocked a new season best time in the 200 (27.07).
In the 100 meters, sophomore sprinter/jumper Myesha Thompson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) and freshman sprinter/hurdler Zaria Stapleton (Nassau, Bahamas) each recorded a new personal best time of 12.66. Junior sprinter Ava Wilmanns (Cedarburg, Wis.) ran a new season best time of 14.00. Thompson also recorded a season best mark in the long jump (5.55m/18-2.5), while Stapleton recorded a new personal best leap of 4.96m/16-3.25.
In the 200, freshman sprinter Jayla Patterson (Romeoville, Ill.) ran a new personal best time of 27.08. Freshman jumper/sprinter Kinsey Mohwinkle (Aplington, Iowa) cut nearly 2.5 seconds off her previous best time in the 100 hurdles (16.52), while freshman thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) improved her hammer throw personal best by over a foot (40.27m/132-1).
