Huskies compete at Macalester for Rider/Bolstorff Invitational
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field is set for its second and final meet of the week, the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational, on Saturday. The meet is hosted by at Macalester Stadium in St. Paul. Running and field events are both scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

St. Cloud State Track & Field recorded eight top-10 finishes, nine personal bests and one season best at the Gary Wilson Invitational at the University of Minnesota Track & Field Stadium in Minneapolis on April 23.
Sophomore sprinter Jenna Marxhausen (Two Harbors, Minn.) ran new personal best times in the 100 meters and 400 meters, running 12.96 and 1:00.75 respectively. Freshman jumper/sprinter Kinsey Mohwinkle (Aplington, Iowa) also recorded two new personal bests. She ran 16.37 in the 100 hurdles and 1:11.65 in the 400 hurdles, improving her fastest time on the team in the latter.
Senior jumper/middle distance runner Makaylin Christenson (Prairie Farm, Wis.) posted the highest individual field finish, taking fourth in the javelin throw after a career best throw of 36.72m/120-5. Fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) recorded the highest individual track finish, placing fifth in the 100 meters after running 12.12.
In the 100 meters, freshman sprinter Jayla Patterson (Romeoville, Ill.) tied her personal best after running 13.06 for the second consecutive meet and senior Shelby Romig (Ankeny, Iowa) ran a season best time for the second straight meet (13.99). In the 200, freshman sprinter/jumper Zaria Stapleton (Nassau, Bahamas) clocked a new personal best time of 26.88.
Freshman distance runner MerriAnna Johnson (Osecola, Wis.) ran a new personal best time in the 1,500 meters (5:15.35) and senior Viola Okey-Ezealah (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) ran a new personal best time in the 400 hurdles (1:13.48) for the second consecutive meet.
The quartet of Lavato, Marxhausen, freshman sprinter Emma Hoppman (Red Wing, Minn.) and Okey-Ezealah finished second in the 4x400 relay after running 4:10.77.
