Clark named to first team, Honeycutt and Weiss selected to second team
EDMOND, Okla. – No. 20 St. Cloud State Softball had three student-athletes earn Division-II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Central Region honors, as announced by the organization on Monday. Senior pitcher Macey Clark (Winneconne, Wis.) was a first team selection, while sophomore catcher/infielder Morgan Honeycutt (Rosemount, Minn.) and junior catcher/infielder Bethany Weiss (Forest Lake, Minn.) were named to the second team. It is the first time in program history that the Huskies had three or more D2CCA All-Region honorees and the first time that they have had multiple second team selections.
This marks the second all-region honors for Clark and Weiss who were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region First Team selections on May 15 for their first ever all region honors. This marks the first all-region selection for Honeycutt.
On May 5, Clark became the Huskies first-ever Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Pitcher of the Year and a First Team All-NSIC Selection, one of just four Husky pitchers to earn multiple All-NSIC honors and one of nine players to be named to the All-NSIC First Team in their career. She was also the lone Husky to earn NSIC weekly honors this season after being named Pitcher of the Week on April 21.
The Winneconne, Wisconsin native finished 2026 with a 22-6 record over 33 appearances/29 starts (186.2 IP), logging 18 complete games with seven solo shutouts. She owned a 1.57 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP and held batters to a mere .188 batting average and recorded 158 strikeouts to just 51 walks.

She also drove in 47 runs, scored 35 and drew 28 walks while striking out 24 times.
Weiss, a first time All-NSIC First Team selection and first time NSIC All-Defensive Team honoree, lead the Huskies in many statistical categories. She finished the season slashing .368/.413/.612 (1.025 OPS) with 77 hits including 29 extra base hits (17 doubles, two triples and 10 home runs). She drove in 60 runs and scored 41 more herself.
As of May 17, the Forest Lake, Minnesota native ranked No. 28 in RBIs, No. 32 in hits and No. 38 in total bases among all DII hitters. Among conference batters, she ranks No. 2 in RBIs and RBIs/game, No. 3 in total bases, No. 4 in hits and No. 5 in doubles.
On defense, Weiss posted 386 putouts and 24 assists with just two errors in 412 chances for a spectacular fielding percentage of .995 while splitting time behind the plate and at first base. She threw out 36% of the runners that tried to steal a base on her (9-of-25) and was part of 10 double plays.
The Huskies just completed one of their most historic seasons in program history, which included one of the most successful regular seasons and NSIC Tournament runs ever. SCSU reached the 40-win mark for just the ninth time (second straight season) in the program's 57-year history and won the program's first-ever share of a NSIC Regular Season Championship after winning a program record 26 NSIC games. The Huskies also received their first national ranking since 2004 and set program records for all-conference honorees and all-defensive team selections. In the conference tournament, SCSU advanced to its first semifinal during the single elimination era (since 2024) and its first ever NSIC Tournament Championship Game. With their semifinals win, the Huskies also tied the program record for wins in a season, with 46. SCSU was selected for its 11th-ever NCAA Tournament and first since 2019.
