2023: Kirchberg was named a NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award winner, an NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence member, and earned CSC All-District honors in 2023. As the team’s relief pitcher, Kirchberg appeared in 15 games with nine starts compiling a 3-5 record. She struck out 25 batters over 42.2 innings pitched.
2022: Kirchberg once again impressed in her third season with St. Cloud State. As the team's primary relief pitcher, Kirchberg wracked up four saves in 17 appearances, posting a 5-3 record and 3.16 ERA. In 51.0 innings pitched, Kirchberg allowed just 27 runs to cross the plate and tallied 21 strikeouts in the process. She allowed the fewest home runs (5) and sacrifice hits (5) of all Huskies pitchers and earned key wins over Upper Iowa and SMSU during the NSIC season. Kirchberg earned Academic All-Conference honors and was named to the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence following the season.
2021: Kirchberg put together another strong season for the Huskies, as she served as the team's primary relief pitcher throughout 2021. as a pitcher, Kirchberg appeared in 19 games with seven starts in the circle, posting a 9-4 record to lead the staff in wins. She earned her first win of the season in the season opener against Northwestern College and additionally earned wins over No. 1 Augustana and Sioux Falls at the NSIC Tournament. Kirchberg was voted team captain prior to the season and the team's Pitcher to Watch by the NSIC.
2020: As a sophomore, Kirchberg appeared in 12 games and made four starts in the circle for St. Cloud State. She posted a 3-2 record and 3.22 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 41.1 innings of work. Kirchberg earned her first win of the season in a 3-2 Huskies victory over William Jewell and improved to 2-1 in the Huskies comeback victory over Forr Hays State.
2019: In her first season with the Huskies, Kirchberg appeared in 18 games and made one start as a pitcher, primarily serving as the team's No. 1 reliever both during the regular and post season. Kirchberg posted a team-low 1.33 ERA during the year, as she surrendered just nine earned runs in 47.1 innings pitched for St. Cloud State. In those 47.1 innings, Kirchberg tallied 15 total strikeouts and posted a 5-0 record, with wins over NSIC rivals Minnesota State, Concordia-St. Paul and Sioux Falls.
High school: Kirchberg put together an outstanding career at Columbus High School in Columbus Wisconsin, posting a combined record of 22-4 in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. As a pitcher, Kirchburg recorded back-to-back seasons with a sub 2.00 ERA, including an impressive 1.18 ERA as a junior in 2017. She was a two-time All-Conference and All-District honoree and was named the Conference Pitcher and Player-of-the-Year in 2016. Kirchberg was named Second Team All-State in 2017 one year after earning All-State Honorable Mention honors in 2016. Off the field, Kirchberg graduated at the top of her class and was a four-year high honor roll student at Columbus. She was an academic letter winner and medalist and a four-year member of the Academic Bowl Team. Kirchberg was also the NHS president at Columbus High School and graduated with two athletic school records in volleyball and softball.
Personal: Kirchberg chose St. Cloud State because of the campus life and community. She intents to major in Mass Communication and a masters in English Rhetoric and Writing. She the daughter of Dough and Heidi Kirchberg.
