Bio
2023: Estrada made her mark in her final season with the Huskies. She became the program’s all-time career RBI leader, breaking Brooke Gentzler’s mark of 161, thanks to a walk-off three-run home run on Mar. 17 in the Huskies win over Concordia-St. Paul. Additionally, she established a new all-time career home run mark of 43 on May 4 during the NSIC Tournament where she tied Brooke Gentzler’s mark at 42 before breaking the record in the Huskies win over MSU-Moorhead. Additionally, she holds the program’s career record for extra base hits at 96. Her performance as the designated player earned her All-NSIC Second Team honors, becoming the first player in program history to be a four-time All-Conference honoree and NSIC Player of the Week honors on Mar. 20. As the fourth hitter, Estrada led the lineup in nearly every offensive category appearing and starting in all 54 games slashing .364/.418/.648. She compiled a team leading 64 hits in 176 bats with 28 extra base hits off 17 doubles and 11 home runs with two against Minnesota Crookston (Apr. 12), and 43 RBIs, including 5 against UW-Parkside (Mar. 19). At the conclusion of the season, Estrada ranked in the top ten in the conference for slugging percentage (.667), OPS (1.097), hits (64), RBI (43), doubles (17), and home runs (11). During the NSIC Tournament, Estrada went 10-for-17 (.588 batting average) with five RBIs, two doubles, and two home runs to help her make the 2023 NSIC All-Tournament team. Additionally, she was named an NSIC All-Academic team member.
2022: Estrada dominated in her third season with the Huskies, becoming the first three-time All-NSIC award winner in program history. In her third season, Estrada earned Second Team All-NSIC honors as a designated player, compiling 51 hits in 148 plate appearances while appearing in 50 of the team's 51 regular season games. She was even better in NSIC play. Estrada hit .365 with three doubles, five home runs and 16 RBI in NSIC contests to close the regular season with a .552 slugging percentage. Additionally, the lefty broke the program record for single-game hits, tallying five against Upper Iowa on April 15. She closed the 2022 postseason with a .340 batting average.
2021: As a redshirt sophomore, Estrada proved to be just as dominant at the plate as she was her first season and a half with St. Cloud State. The left handed designated player earned First Team All-NSIC honors as one of the most feared batters in the conference throughout the entirety of 2021. Estrada appeared in all 44 games for the Huskies and ended the regular season with a .431 batting average. She additionally ranked top-10 in the NSIC in batting average, slugging, total hits, RBI, home runs and walks. Of the Huskies 40 regular season games, Estrada recorded 16 multi-hit games and broke the school record in single-game RBI, tallying seven in a 13-6 win over Wayne State on April 3. She concluded the full 2021 season with a .406 batting average, 54 hits and a team-leading .669 slugging percentage.
2020: As a sophomore, Estrada powered her way to the top of the statistic leader board, as she was the Huskies top hitter throughout the 2020 season. Estrada led the team in batting average (.411), hits (30), doubles (5) slugging (.685), on-base percentage (.429), total bases (50) and RBI (22) at the end of the COVID shortened year and ranked second on the team in home runs (5). She tallied eight multi-hit games and recorded a career-high six RBI in St. Cloud State's win over Hillsdale on March 10. Estrada additionally recorded eight putouts in the field for the Huskies and committed just one error at first base.
2019: Estrada certainly made her presence known in her first year at St. Cloud State, as she earned Second Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Region and NSIC All-Tournament Team honors during the 2019 season. From start to finish, Estrada ranked toward the top of the NSIC in batting average, hits, RBI, total bases and slugging percentage and earned the conference's Softball Player of the Week honor in mid-March. At the end of the season, Estrada led the NSIC and ranked tenth in the nation in total RBI (62) and finished the year ranked fifth in the conference and 16th in the nation in total bases (129). Overall, the power lefty hit .385 with 74 hits in 192 at bats for St. Cloud State with team-leading 62 RBI and .672 slugging percentage.
High School: Estrada put together an extremely successful softball career at Litchfield High School, where she earned multiple accolades for her play at shortstop. Estrada was a 4x letter winner, All-Conference, All-Area and All-Section honoree and was also a four-year Offensive Player of the Year winner for the Dragons. As a senior, Estrada earned All-State First team honors and finished her career ranked No. 3 all-time in home runs in the history of Minnesota high school softball.
Personal: When not on the field, Estrada enjoys spending time with her family, coaching younger kids and fishing. Estrada plans to major in elementary education and go for a masters in Educational Administration and Leadership at St. Cloud State. She is the daughter of Eduardo and Tanya Estrada. Her favorite athlete is Bryce Harper.
