Bio
2022: Bowlin closed her storied career at St. Cloud State in record breaking fashion, as she once again earned multiple awards for her play during the season. As a fifth year senior, Bowlin added a second NSIC Gold Glove honor to her name, earning the honor for her play in left and center field during the regular season. In 54 total games, Bowlin committed just one error on 96 chances in the field, making her not only one of the best outfielders in the NSIC, but the region as well. The speedy fifth year senior tallied 50 putouts in conference play with one assist and zero errors and was one of three regular players who did not commit a single error during the 2022 NSIC season. Bowlin additionally hit over .300 against conference opponents, closing the regular season with a .310 batting average and will graduate as the program record holder for career, single-season and single-game stolen bases. She additionally earned Academic All-Conference honors.
2021: Bowlin proved to be the best of the best in 2021, as she earned multiple awards for her play during the season. Bowlin earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region honors from the NFCA after batting .430 batting average during the regular season, tallying 52 hits in 121 at bats as the Huskies lead off hitter. Bowlin also scored a team leading 49 runs and led both the team and conference in triples (6) and stolen bases (31) at the conclusion of the regular season. In her third season with St. Cloud State, Bowlin broke the program record for career stolen bases, stealing the 103rd of her career against MSU-Moorhead in mid-May, and currently holds the school record for single-season stolen bases, which she set in 2019.
2020: Bowlin hit .333 in a COVID shortened season, tallying 21 hits in 63 at bats before being shut down in March. The speedy junior led the team in stolen bases, recording 16 total on 20 attempts, and was second on the team in runs scored with 16. At the end of the year, Bowlin ranked top-5 on the team in batting average (.333), one base percentage (.425), runs scored (16), hits (21), RBI (7), walks (9), stolen bases (16) and stolen base attempts (20).
2019: Bowlin had a breakout second season with St. Cloud State, as she earned multiple honors for her play both at the plate and in the field. Bowlin was named Second Team All-NSIC and was the conference's Golden Glove recipient after outstanding play in left field. Defensively, the sophomore tallied 113 put outs, two assists and committed just two errors for an impressive fielding percentage of .983. Bowlin additionally made several game-saving and Sportscenter worthy diving catches in left field and served as one of the team's top hitters. Bowlin hit .380 during the season, with 71 hits in 187 at bats. More impressively, she broke the record for single-season steals, as she stole 39 bases during the 2019 season.
2018: As a first year, Bowlin appeared in 54 games and made 54 starts as the Huskies left fielder. She compiled a batting average of .313 as a slap hitter with 52 hits in 166 at bats. Bowlin ranked in the top-5 on the team in runs (32), hits (52), batting average (.313) and total bases (58) and lead St. Cloud State in both stolen bases (20) and stolen base attempts (22).
Before SCSU: A 2017 graduate of Holy Name Family Catholic High School, where she played for coach Todd Olmen…a 6X letterwinner in softball...earned both All-Conference and All-Conference Honorable Mention during her prep career at Holy Name...gained team MVP honors in high school...played travel ball for the Minnesota Sting.
Personal: Daughter of Tom and Julie Bowlin…cousin Theo Rothstein played basketball at SCSU and is now playing overseas….intends to major in sports medicine.
