As a true freshman, Porter made an impression as the Huskies top relief pitcher in her first season. She appeared in 27 games with five starts where she compiled a 4-4 record with four saves while leading the pitching staff in ERA at 1.72. She allowed only 27 runs and 18 walks while striking out 51 batters in 73.1 innings pitched. Porter’s 1.72 ERA ranked her second in the conference while also taking spots in the top ten for opposing batting average (.238), saves (4), sacrifice bunts allowed (5), sacrifice flies allowed (1), hits allowed (67), runs allowed (27), earned runs allowed (19), walks allowed (18), doubles allowed (12), triples allowed (2), and home runs allowed (3).
Before SCSU: Attended Seattle Christian School. Went to the state tournament her freshman year and finished 7th. Went to districts her senior season. Named MVP her freshmen, junior and senior seasons. She was team captain all four years. She was ranked in the 15 top pitchers in the state at 10th place. She was a captain for two years in volleyball and basketball.
Personal: Daughter of Angelique Hunt. Majoring in Psychology. Her career ambitions including becoming a fire fighter. Her hobbies include photography, coaching & helping younger girls in softball, hunting, and working out.
