2017: As a pitcher, led the team with 16 wins, a 3.55 ERA, 36 appearances, 27 games started, 14 complete games, four saves, 167.2 innings pitched and .255 opponent batting average against....was fourth in the NSIC in saves, fifth in appearances, sixth in inning pitched, eighth in wins and 10th in games started...threw a seven inning perfect games against the University of Mary (4/2)...also had four hits, a pair of doubles, a home run, three RBIs and nine total bases as a hitter....second career saves (7), seventh in appearances (96), eighth in innings pitched (381.0), wins (34) and opponent batting average against (.266) plus ninth in games started (58)...named to the NSIC’s Spring All-Academic Team
2016: Played in 45 games with 35 starts in the field and appeared in 32 games with 19 starts in the circle…Hit .256 with 13 runs, 21 hits, two home runs, eight RBIs, 30 total bases and two stolen bases…led the team with her 3.20 ERA…Also won nine games with nine complete games, a save, 124.2 innings pitched and 84 strikeouts…had five multi-hit games and two multi-RBI performances…Struck out eight batters against Sioux Falls (4/10).
2015: Appeared in 49 games with 41 starts as a position player…hit .290 with 20 runs scored, 31 hits, five doubles, two triples, three home runs, 21 RBIs, five stolen bases and a .290 batting average…had five multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI performances…placed second on the team in the circle with nine wins…appeared in 28 games with 12 starts as a pitcher…had five complete games, two saves, 88.2 innings pitched, 50 strikeouts and a 3.47 ERA…recorded four hits, two doubles and six total bases against Nebraska-Kearney…hit home runs against St. Edwards (2/14), East Stroudsburg (3/8) and Minnesota State (3/29)….had three RBI games against West Liberty (3/7) and East Stroudsburg (3/8)…threw complete games against Southwest Minnesota State (4/12) and Merrimack (3/11)…totaled 10 strikeouts in only five innings in a complete game shutout against Minnesota Crookston (4/8).
Before SCSU: Played for Palatine High School Pirates coached by Eric Oakley, Amanda Montalto, and Jessica Richards… played outfield and pitcher in all four years in high school and was All-Conference, All-Area, and All-State…also participated in gymnastics all four years in high school, Conference Champion, Regional Qualifier and Sectional Qualifier…transfer from the University of North Dakota.
Personal: Daughter of Matthew and Dana Hedstrom…hobbies include coaching dance and gymnastics, and traveling… favorite athlete is former Blackhawks player Brandon Saad…had an internship with WGN during the summer of 2016...won a regional Emmy Award the same weekend she threw a perfect game…majoring in mass communication/broadcast TV journalism
