2012-13: Barnes scored an 8-7 record for the Huskies in 2012-13 in action at 165-pounds...placed sixth at 2012 ISU Open and also gained a second place finish at the North Country Open in 2013.
2011-12: Posted a 21-9 overall record at 174-pounds as a sophomore...went 1-0 in duals this season…posted five falls…took 1st place at the Ridgewater Open…was co-champ at the Wisconsin-Eau Claire and North Country Open.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Simley High Shool...earned four letters in wrestling as a prep athlete...2X MSHSL state placewinner at Simley...a two-time letterwinner in football during his high school career...posted 114 victories on the mat during his high school career and also helped Simley to two team state championships...a transfer from Rochester Community and Technical College.
PERSONAL: Barnes is the son of David and Barbara Barnes of Inver Grove Heights, Minn...a marketing major at SCSU...enjoys disc golf, basketball and playing Call of Duty.
